Mine's started doing this. I reckon it's a thermal management thing. LEDs just have different cooling needs compared to incandescents and fitting them in a bulb form factor is just not ideal. Particularly mine was in a similar kind of shade to yours and I suspect it is not letting the heat get out properly.

Dollar Store carry all that stuff cheaper.

Yep that's how they roll. They don't even come in the driveway much less take to the porch. They just leave the package near the road no matter the weather.

The problem with these is that cheap dollar store solar lights that won't last longer than a month (If lucky) or usually a much shorter time. Better to invest in better, more reputable sources.

I try not to order something from a company that uses Ontrac if possible. They are the worst I’ve seen.

What a joke! How does this company stay in business? I have seen several posts on Facebook about items being reported as delivered and they are nowhere to be seen. I'm glad that you are making people aware of how horrible this service is.

Don't have a reflector thingie in your garden light? No problem. Make a cardboard disc the same size as the inside of the bottom of the drinking glass. Go grab some aluminum foil. Glue it to the disc (shiny side up) and glue it to the inside bottom of the drinking glass. (OPTIONAL: Crumple the foil slightly, then flatten it out before glueing it to the disc. The slight texture will help scatter the light a bit). Alternatively, go to the auto parts store and find some of those small 2" spot mirrors. They even already have those adhesive foam pads on them. Poke around on eBay, you can often find them for cheap with free shipping. If you want to improve the light on the tightest possible budget, just a white paper disc in the bottom of the glass. The idea here is to prevent the surface under the bottom of the glass from absorbing the light, and to instead reflect it back upward. If you use Boullion Cubes for chicken or beef flavoring, the little glass or plastic jars are ideal for use in lieu of the drinking glass. Glue the solar light to the BOTTOM of the jar. That way, whatever you use for a reflector can be easily installed in the lid. Bonus: they'll float because they're pretty darned watertight. Even if you don't use them for solar lights, those jars are infernally useful for storing small parts.

Man i was happy before because they give a replacement and gave them good review after that... But this issue happens to me again.. Feel bad to buy this pricey bulb to be honest

If you look at some of the pictures of the bulb online it shows a different connector at the bottom of the bulb (instead of the screw) and I believe the screw is actually a separate piece thats snapped/locked into place so maybe there's an issue with that piece? Hopefully that makes sense, I suck at writing. Yep, that's exactly what's going on with mine. I have a 1st generation bulb from the Kickstarter. It was working fine for years, but just recently it's been doing exactly what you said here.

So you just had LIFX replace the bulb? I just bought a 4-Pack of the A19 bulbs yesterday at Best Buy and one of them is doing the same exact thing your's was doing. Wondering if I should just exchange the whole pack for another one.

To make your reflector cone use aluminium foil it works very well and you can make any shape to reflect just a suggestion

You could just stick it in a taper candle holder - like a candle. If you get ones with the plastic poles - you could cut to any size you like.

Change your lightbulb socket and check the wiring.
